Malibu Lagoon

Malibu Lagoon is home to a diverse ecosystem, including endangered and threatened species. Resident and migratory birds also use the lagoon as a nesting area during the summer months. On June 1, 2012 bulldozers are scheduled use $8.5 million dollars of tax money to dredge the site. What these bulldozers accomplish is to destroy bird nests and their inhabitants, and kill endangered goby and myriad other wild animals. Environmental organizations and Malibu residents are proposing a resolution that would put the project on hold. It is up to us to find a more reasonable, affordable and sustainable future for the lagoon and resident animals.

Stop the Clock.
Stop the Bulldozers!
